Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What is concentrate?

Answer: Fruit concentrates are made from pure 100% fruit juices that are put through an evaporation process. Seven parts water is evaporated from the fruit, the balance is put through a blast freezer to preserve freshness and then stored.

Question: Are juices made from concentrate as good as freshly squeezed?

Answer: Where as nothing compares to straight off the tree, in reality, concentrates are the closest product to the freshly picked fruit as you can get. To make juice, purified water is put back into the fruit concentrate and the product is then pasteurized.

Question: Why does your “No Sugar Added” juice taste as sweet as juices with sugar?

Answer: Our NSA juices have no sucrose or cane sugar added, but all the fructose which naturally occurs in the fruits is present. The sweetness of the juice is dependent on the ratio of water to juice concentrate, where as little or as much water can be added. Apple juice in certain cases is added to boost sweetness as well.

Question: Why does your juice spoil easier than a shelf stable product?

Answer: All natural juices are highly perishable and therefore must be kept refrigerated, ideally between 31 and 40 degrees. Products should not be kept from refrigeration longer than 30 minutes.
